We are delighted to share the news that Ligentia has been announced as a finalist at this year’s Talent in Logistics Awards in the Best Place in Work category.

The Talent in Logistics Awards are dedicated to recognising and rewarding the people that keep the logistics sector and country, moving every day throughout the whole supply chain. The awards include categories highlighting not only stand-out individuals but the teams and organisations that have gone above and beyond to make real differences.

Last year’s winners included Sainbury’s Argos and Kuehne & Nagel, demonstrating how well received the awards are across the industry.

Richard Gilberthorpe, Director of Group HR commented; “We recognise that our colleagues are driven by our customer’s supply chain needs, working tirelessly to deliver the optimum service. To meet the increasing and at times complex needs of our customers, we know our teams need to feel supported, challenged and currently more than ever, safe.

Being shortlisted in the Best Place to work category is testament to all our colleagues globally and I look forward to seeing how we progress at the Talent in Logistics Awards ceremony being held virtually on 1st October.”

Results will be announced at the Talent in Logistics virtual ceremony on 1st October.

Storm Francis has now hit the UK. We have been informed that both Felixstowe and Gateway portside are now closed. Felixstowe are not planning to reopen until midday tomorrow. Whilst Southampton is still open, they are not working to full capacity. As the ports haven’t worked to full capacity for several months this is expected to create further pressure on operations.

Most inland depots are working now but they will be forced to close if and when the winds increase.

We expect the port closures to significantly impact hauliers over the coming days. If you have any queries regarding specific bookings please contact the customer service teams.
