Commercial Invoice (CI)

A  legal document provided by the seller between themselves and the buyer. The commercial invoice acts as a proof of sale and details the price, value and quantity of the goods being sold, as well as the terms agreed between both parties.

The values on the commercial invoice are then by the clearing agent to declare the customs entry. The agent then calculates the duty & VAT owed based on the commodity codes.
