Making sure the shipping of engineering supplies runs like clockwork.
Matthew Wood – Good Hands
Good Hands is an import/export business, delivering engineering supplies into the automotive, industrial and mechanical sectors. Bringing product in from Asia, the smooth running of supply chain allows Matthew and his team to manage long lead times on product and meet set delivery dates to B2B customers.
Matthew has been working with the team at Ligentia since 2014 and relies on them to take care of all the critical detail that ensure the logistics of inbound product runs like clockwork.
The Ligentia team take care of customs clearance and all the paperwork involved. In fact, Matthew’s confidence that his business is being taken care of, means that he rarely has to get involved in the day to day detail of shipping.
Occasionally bad weather can cause delays with the ocean freight, or traffic conditions can cause setbacks in the UK, but when disruptions happen the team at Good Hands will be kept up to date via email or phone, so they can adjust their schedules accordingly.
Sarah is Matthew’s main contact at Ligentia and describes the working relationship as simple and straightforward. ‘We establish whether we’re dealing with a full or part-container. Once the price and timescale is advised and the decision is made, the process usually runs like clockwork – because we’ve established a way of working that is tried and tested and works for the customer.’
Matthew explains why he is happy to be dealing with Ligentia: ‘This service is really easy to use, we provide the information and the team at Ligentia do the rest. It’s off my desk, done and sorted – it runs so smoothly, it doesn’t take up much of my time – which is great, as it frees me up to focus elsewhere.’
