ICON Health & Fitness is the name behind well-known workout equipment brands including NordicTrack, Weider and ProForm. The business has a reputation for quality and performance built over 26 years. Home-fitness equipment is sold via high-street retailers such as Argos and JJB, but goods are sourced overseas and imported into the UK.
Racheal, has been with the company for many years and has a long-standing relationship with Sarah, her Ligentia Account Manager. Sarah has always been at the end of the phone to resolve shipping queries and provide advice and guidance. But now their person-to-person contact is supported by a wealth of information and data held within Ligentix – Ligentia’s proprietary freight forwarding and supply chain management software.

This helps logistics processes to run smoothly and allows both Racheal and Sarah to focus in on any priority tasks
Typically, ICON relies on ocean freight due to the size of their products and desire for the most cost-effective solution. On rare occasions, disruption in supply can necessitate the use of air-freight – but Racheal and her team at Ligentia take these kinds of challenges in their stride. With a working relationship that is underpinned by years of knowledge there are very few scenarios that the working partners haven’t seen or dealt with before.
Looking ahead, ICON are continuing with plans to grow the business. Racheal comments: ‘It’s good to know that I can take excellent service on my freight management for granted.
