Brisbane warehouse operations build their business through outstanding customer service
Steve joined the Brisbane Team at our Warehouse Operations in Brisbane 12 months ago. This busy, 3800 sq/m facility is home to 10 team members and services a diverse range of clients. Having previously worked at Unitrans, delivering warehouse services for Steinhoff, Steve understands supply chain and logistics inside out.
Steve and his team are busy, day-in, day out providing a suite of warehousing and fulfilment services for companies like Canterbury Clothing, Total Oil, Spendless Shoes and a leading Australian fitness brand [name] that supplies walking and running machines, direct to consumer.
The products and requirements come in all shapes and sizes. Ligentia is handling 10,000 garment SKUs for Canterbury, whilst the oil based lubricants and large pieces of fitness equipment are deal with on pallets. But all are subject to the same level of care and attention to detail.
Steve explains, ‘There’s a great culture here at Ligentia, we really encourage people to enjoy their work and give it 100%. There’s a great teamwork ethos and everyone plays their respective part to support each other. It’s clear to see that when people enjoy their work, productivity is much higher – and that’s what it’s all about.’
The Brisbane warehouse operation serves a large and diverse region, but Steve perceives the kind of service his customers expect to be a little bit different to that in the bigger trade centres of Melbourne and Sidney. For customers in Steve’s region, the emphasis is on the quality of the relationship. If the service and deliver is right, customers in Brisbane are super-loyal.
Steve elaborates, ‘My team delivers a level of professionalism that is second to none. We’re all passionate about going above and beyond what customers expect. So if we promise a 72 hour delivery, but we can do it in 36, we’ll always make the extra effort. The whole team know their SLAs and KPIs, but they’re more interested in what they can shave off those targets to deliver really positive experiences to customers.’
Looking ahead, this recipe for strong, long-term relationships bodes well for the Brisbane team. There are plenty of new client opportunities in the pipeline and the business is growing from strength-to-strength. Steve is feeling positive that the growth ahead spells even more success and positive development for his team and for all the customer organisations they serve.
